#6 is Brian Leisure(?)'s rip-off of Bernard Herrmann's film score to Hitchcock's 'Psycho'
by entengleAll I have is sketchy information that track 6 (titled Theme Song Six), which
is given credit to 'Leisure-B' is a euro-trash/dance/funk mix that steals its
major 'themes' from Bernard Herrmann's film score to Hitchcock's 'Psycho'. I
give this 2.5 'stars', partly BECAUSE Herrmann's music is here AND because I
doubt the late composer's estate is getting a dime. If there's credit on the
insert (which I don't have) then MAYBE it's at least some type of an homage.
Still, Bernard would be rolling over in his grave if it included life support
and a sound system. -AND if he didn't really die Xmas-eve, '75. The release
date for '1' is 2004. This shows music had gone nowhere for at least 29 yrs.
I also suspect that the name 'Leisure-B' is an aka for 'mixer' Brian Leisure.
