Eclectic, Soulful, Witty & Fabulous!
by GKittyintheCityWonderfully eclectic and beautifully produced, this debut CD by actor-writer John Kapelos is a rich, exciting roller-coaster ride of musical genres. There's something here for every musical taste and every emotion. From the jazzy, tongue-in-cheek look at Hollywood in "Let's Split," to the soulful "When Beautiful People Do Ugly Things," to the danceable, fast-paced "Inimitable Spin" and "1974," this is a clever, intelligent CD that defies categorization. It is full of surprises and unique in its ability to evoke a wide range of emotions. This CD should be on the "must-have" list of everyone who appreciates music. Looking forward to John Kapelos' next musical feat!!

The brainchild of actor/writer John Kapelos SYD: THE KARAOKE KID is a musical journey that chronicles the life and times of Kapelos' alter ego , Syd Arthur. Syd along with his brother Danny helmed the wildly successful Knights of Joy a band that had many hits starting with 1967's smash SEVEN WAYS FROM SUNDAY or so the story goes.
PRODUCED BY JOHN KAPELOS AND WINGS DRUMMER DENNY SEIWELL. This CD features SEIWELL as well as TOTO'S STEVE PORCARO, STEELY DAN'S JEFF SKUNK BAXTER, PAUL McCARTNEY'S RUSTY ANDERSON and many many others. Special guest appearances from JUDITH OWEN and DAN CASTELLANETA .
