New use of the classic piano trio
by jazzinpianoLike many of the classic piano trio's (i.e. the Vince Guaraldi Trio), the instrumentation is simple and yet effective and the music is great to listen to. Katahdin's Edge goes a step further and creates an even greater sound with the use of tight harmony and complicated rhythms. This album is great to just listen to while working or to keep you alert and awake while driving. An instant favorite.
Cool, Quick sounds
by A JohnsenWillie Myette and his band Katahdin's Edge comes out with a smooth album dedicaed to a pursuit of new age jazz. The songs, composed primarily by Myette delived an edgy sound, which cuts into the depth of the Jazz minded individual.
