Supreme Folk Talent
by rubbery friendSaw Gerry play in Doolin one eve in September. He blew me away. Extremely talented player and very witty man. He played with a couple other musicians at different points in the show, but he was by far the best and the crowd favorite.

I was introduced to Gerry's music via Mary Black performing at the Los Angeles "House of Blues." I didn't realize it until I a year or two later, I went to see Gerry O'Bierne & Andy M. Summers playing live in small concerts in Pasadena and San Juan Capistrano, CA. If you ever have a chance to see Gerry perform live, don't pass it up! The venues are small and intimate, and it's a chance to experience a very talented and gifted song writer and amazing guitarist all in one person.

Gerry's songwriting is suberb, his guitar work unique and strong. off the rocks at clahane became a favorite quickly. i bought the album to get two songs, western highway and halfmoon bay. it shocked me to find a non californian wrote these, they seem to speak to the perfect california mind, go and stand on a hill side overlooking the pacific, behind you highway 101 is roaring in front of you the waves are crashing and as the fog comes creeping in, you will remain suspended in eternity. enjoy.
