Matt Lewis is a very talented man!
by alaskawackThis is the album that got me hooked on his music! I walked into the Howling dog Saloon in Fairbanks, AK to meet some friends and play some volleyball out back but as i was ordering a beer i started to get happy feet listening to the band that was playing...MLB!! Needless to say, i never made it out back, i was too busy dancin and rockin out to MLB. The next day i bought this album and summer soulstice!! I listened to it the whole way back on the plane to oregon where i live. Ever since then i have been hooked on his music. The band is so talented and their music makes you want to dance and be merry!! We took a road trip to Bend, Oregon this summer to hear them play the amphitheater there. It was awesome. Some of the great things they do live is when they ask the audience for a song, any song and they turn it into a reggae song! That is cool. Whether it be AC/DC or Led Zepplin they can do it! Also, they will send a mic out into the audience and ask you for 3 words. Then Matt will make up a song about those 3 words. Now that is truly a treat to see and to listen to. Some of my favorite songs include, The river, Andria, Away from myself, Summer song, Killing time, Gravity, and off of his new album Vague Concerns, 3 whole days, Big green margaritas!!!, Big mistake and Ride around! Anyway these guys are great and we look forward to the day they play the portland music scene!!!! GO MATT
I Love That I'm Old Enough
by NobodyMorganIt's great how you guys sing about things that are important sometimes, like with Old Enough, but yet have such silly things like Chili Davis and Gravity. And don' forget Killing Time, whose lyrics I had to look up to understand at times~ But, you guys were espectially great at Merced when I saw you live. You sang about art when asked for improve! Kudos to you!
