I've Always Been A Fan

by Rocktasia

The Shamus Twins are great at writing the kind of catchy "hits" that used to burn up the airwaves. I've seen these guys live several times and have a four song demo of this cd which I used to keep in my car (now it's on my iPod). They were one of my favorite bands when I was hitting the L.A. club scene a while back (three kids later, I go nowhere). In my humble opinion, Too Much Gravity is the lead off hit. Catch them live when you can.

High Quality Hard Pop

This CD has it all for me, great vocals and harmonies, tight playing, crunchy-jangley-twangy guitars and above all else excellent songs. Not a filler in the bunch. Production is punchy. I like every era of rock/pop and it seems so do these guys. I'd call them indie-alternative power-pop. Song "Bad Girl" is roots rock on jangle-speed, "As The Sun Goes Down" is kinda jazzy, 'cept the guitar breaks go psychedelic and country. "Hello Hello" is a classic, could have been a hit in the '60's, '70's, 80's, 90's and/or '00's. The first song, "I Hide" is just full bore unclassifiable, in the best possible way. When it gets to the chorus it simply smashes atoms. Highly, highly recommended!
