Texture, Testimony, & Timely

by Rose River

Leslie has a very easy voice to listen to and then you combine it with a fine set of musicians who played mandolins, pedal steels, congas, high hats, and bass for a changing texture through each song.

iTunes doesn't really help understand the authors on the songs, but I have heard these are mostly Leslie's songs. She's give a great testimony of the Mallization of the great wilderness known as our rural areas with "Shady Lake"... if you don't buy the LP, buy this one. It mixes an old country feel to a folky song with a little banjo... then throw in a nice tasteful harmonica... GREAT production.

Timely? Creepy Underbelly, Television Blues, Garden in the Stones.. She's livin' in our world and writing real songs about it and not just the love garbage you hear on the radio.
