Album Review
The recording debut for Erich Avinger features the guitarist playing everything from folk music to light fusion and a couple numbers with a country tinge. Avinger, who also overdubbed some numbers on piano, keyboards, electric bass, flute, recorder, mandolin, and lute, has created an interesting if not overly memorable set of original music. The results (which show off Avinger's fine technique on guitar) cross boundary lines between genres and have some moments of interest.
