I generally don't like country music
by PunkOutlawbut this is not your typical country music.. or maybe it is what typical country music once was and once again should be. Not that polished, over produced Nashville crossover country you usually hear on the radio. This is roots, raw and it feels like its relationship to pop country is the punk equivilant to pop rock. Alternative country, outlaw country or even slightly punkabilly..
whatever you want to call it, I liked it enought to buy it and thats saying something. I'll add it to my Johnny Cash, Mike Ness roots country collection and hope I can find more artists like these guys breaking the mold of the mind numbing, soul crushing mass popular music culture.

by lovejoyincI agree with the review by lilpeggy. These guys are talented and raw. This is real music, not radio crap. I have heard a lot of this kind of stuff since I started attending the shows of local Knoxville area music scene heroes Cutthroat Shamrock and Jon Worley's Cornbred Blues Band. These guys also remind me a little of another band I first heard at a Knoxville Cutthroat Shamrock show, Pine Hill Haints.
Gritty
by lilpeggyThis is the type of unpolished, dirty grassroots music that you'd listen to in the back of some dimly lit dive bar with a shot of whiskey and a PBR. Not for the fainthearted, but well worth it if you have some guts.
