Great Album!

by Bryan Beasley, Charlotte, NC

Definently a great album. The songs have humor and they're always good to listen to.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

While some new songs like "Every Little Piece Of My Heart" and "Tell Her I'm Gone" are an excellent addition to the band's repertoire, and "Angry Lesbian" shows that Lampkin and Bronson still have their senses of humor, this album doesn't quite measure up to the last. True, this album eliminates a few minor lapses in intonation that came up in Standing Room (excusable since the band was rather new), but it doesn't have the catchiness that Standing Room had. The percussion took away from the simple yet very enjoyable dual acoustic guitars, especially for the band's closing number. "If You Want It" is a feel-good song, served best with simply two acoustic guitars, as it was in the first album. Still, the album shows promise and skill, and I look forward to what the next album will bring.
