One of my all-time favorite duos

by IOit2Lemson

I first heard these two live at a concert in California, and this album has been part of my life for over 20 years. Their blend of Scottish and Irish musical traditions is seamless. Technical skill, great passion, and a raucous, lively attitude (when appropriate!) make them rather unique in the contemporary Celtic music scene. And then they're also capable of creating "The Oats Field," which is absolutely haunting. If you ever have a chance to see them live, do it.

More traditional songs.

I love this Irish Scottish folk duo. This is one of their older albums. It features more straightforward arrangements of more traditional songs praising working men, celebrating women and drink, and nostalgia for home.
