Pure musical brilliance.
by BeatsWizI usually don't write reviews, but i felt compelled to do so in this case after reading
a one-line "review" from the guy with "no clue how he found this" and who's preferred genre is rap music. One listen to even the given snippets of her songs will prove this dude totally wrong.
Itunes requires that music be priased "on its own terms," and not at the expense of their music
or particular genre, so here's a more accurate review for those who who appreciate the fusion of rock/folk/soul/pop.
Sara is unique in that her songs have ALL the qualities that make a classic. Her tunes have the infectious music hooks AND the deep, moving, intellectual lyrics AND the structure and performance of great music. She integrates different styles and formats with the ease of breathing which delivers a fresh new sound with every song. Like all my favorite artists, she writes and composes her own stuff...it's all straight from the heart, and it's immediately apparent. Like a great film, the first listen is intriguing and enjoyable, each subsequent affects you on a deeper emotional level as the brillance of her lyrics and the cleverness of how they're wrapped up into such catchy notes become all the more apparent. My favorites on this album are Boston, Curious, It's the type of music that affects you on a deeply emotional level. My favorites are "Boston," the bi-curious "Curious," the haunting "Leaving," and the hyper-catchy "You Don't Know Me"
