Takes Me Right Back To The Day.
by YoDanimalIt's just too bad it doesn’t come with a time machine, so you could see them live, as great as this record is, and the next one, it was such an amazing experience to see variant Cause live. Back in the day, before, during and after that time when Seattle ruled the world, back before “Alternative” was even a glimmer in some marketing director’s eye. It’s all such a fuzzy distant memory now as trends and record labels came and went and a lot of great bands got left at the station when the “Seattle Scene” left town. Variant Cause eventually moved on to lives and jobs and families and different directions, as have most everyone I know who lived through those days. Before the ‘90’s and Variant Cause both became extinct, they became in the studio what they had always been live, cross that line daring, always something new, exciting and probably totally unexpected. Always pushing and expanding the boundaries of what a “pop song” could be. This is a great record and it proves without a doubt that not all of the great music being made today was made today.

by Marlon MichaelsWe have all heard those bands that shot out of the Seattle scene in the 80's. However, if you were creative, talented and were not "grunge" you might have been over looked. This band is one of those bands and you should give them a listen. Impossible to put a lable and at the risk of doing so I can only call them hot! Unique, rockin', creative, fun and easily worth the $10! "20 years of rock and roll history" thrown into one great band.
