Southern legends of the bar scene...

by Rockfrog

Wow talk about guys who played with everyone...some might remember "Fingers" playing with Jimmy Buffett. And I was drinking with Keith Sykes one night when he admitted that after he wrote "Coast of Marseilles" he had to "look it up to make sure it was on the coast of France...I was lucky, it was". But if you were anywhere in the south in the eighties you probably heard some of these guys or their songs. The album rollicks with garagy abandon...from Deborah's cigarette amokin soul to Fingers' Jackson Police...it reminds me of all the times I saw these guys with various bands on stage. And some of the times I drank with them after.
