We should watch this group! Tremendous talent!
by newjazzfanFirst release by a trio of extremely talented and accomplished young musicians! McCarty is the protege of Wayne Goins, and plays a "Charlie Hunter" 8-string bass/guitar combination, doing both the guitar an bass lines with ease. All three of these men are phenomenal players. I could do without the rap, but that's only one track. Their take on "Naima" is NOT to be missed. Someday we'll be scrambling to find early work by these fellows.
