Fresh Take on the Standards
by MattyBlairDoug Strock is an exceptional pianist from a technical standpoint but on Piano Dreams he infuses a new breath of air into these classical jazz songs from across the American Songbook. I highly recommend this album to anyone that appreciates the mellow side of jazz minus the schlocky side dishes that usually accompany similar attempts - these are thoughtful, soulful takes on some of the best music ever written in any genre. Just waiting on the next album...

by juliettearnoldok. this guy is the best. his music is the best study music and relaxation music. some of the best songs in the world are on this album and done beautifully. his fingers just seem to flow across the piano. these songs are gentle and sweet to listen to.
