Good stuff
by Tee Jay SwankersK23 Orchestra have suceeded in making something new and interesting in a business overcrowded with blatent copies. Hints of rap-rock greats such as rage against the machine can be heard in many of the songs but K23 push the envelope farther delving into psychedelia and even spoken word. One of the most original albums of the year and by far the most interesting. Hopefully K23 will get some attention with this album because I would love to hear more from them.
A Hidden Treasure
by Eli GordonI was just searching around for a way to spend my gift certificate when I stumbled upon this album. After listening to a few samples I figured it might be worth my time. I am definately more apt to take chances when it's a gift. I am very fortunate to have made this descision. This album is one of the best that I have heard not only this year, but in a VERY long time. Each track is so diverse and funky and rockin' and experimental. I hear something new each time, weather it's understanding one of Alfred Howard's amazing metaphors or the subtleties of the ULTRA tight rhythym section. It is officially my favorite album to listen to in headphones that I've gotten this year. After listening to it non-stop for the past 4 months, I went back and purchased the entire catalog. What began as me taking a chance turned into me discovering my new favorite band.
