Brilliant without the talking
by megamusicbuyerRemove the ridiculous talking film television samples and the music that is left is great. I will never understand why musicians think putting talking samples into their music works. It doesn't. But the music does and after chopping up the tracks to remove the talking I can listen to and enjoy this album.
Blundering Boysenberry Blimp

Loop Guru's modern take on psychedelic rock.
by bbumElderberry Shiftglass combines all the dreamy ambience of Loop Guru's Last Train to Lhaos with 60's era psychedelic rock sounds. An electronica mashup of Esquivel, Jefferson Airplane, and Beatle's Sgt. Peppers all while carrying through Loop Guru's signature melodic charm.
Lots of samples of various movies and TV shows used without the typical repetition and very effectively to make the album flow extremely cleanly. Even at 20 relatively short tracks, the album sounds more like several cohesive songs.
In a word: fun. This is a fun, and masterfully done, album.
For hardcore Loop Guru fans, Elderberry Shiftglass would fall more on the Lhaos and Loop Bites Dog spectrum than the Duniya or Fountains end of things.
For fans of electronica, this album would make a great addition.
