Straight Gangsta - Christian Style
by EmandemConsidering the fact that Chopped and Screwed music originated down in H-town (Houston, TX) most people might not know what it's all about. Chopped and Screwed is basically a slowed down version of an original song, usually rap that is also somewhat 'chopped' with a record skipping type sound. The music is slower and the voices are slower hence their deep sound. It's pretty much an aquired taste as well as an example of the slower life down south opposed to some place like New York where the New York Minute was invented. Back in the day chopped and screwed music was reserved for people sippin on sizurp and smokin on that dro, but now the 116 Clique has introduced Christian slowed and throwed music that will help preach the Gospel to those that have gotten caught up in the straight gangsta life. Thank you 116 and Reach Records, now I'm bumpin Jesus beats and banging screw, aatt tthee ssaammee ttiimmee.
