Rootsy, jazzy, spacey goodness
by djdtpackersruleI met Matt "The Swede" over Indaba Music. Real nice guy. His music has a nice, vaguely psychedelic, sad eyed, odly comforting feel to it, like a 3 way tie between Iron and Wine, Nick Drake, and Surrealistic Pillow-era Jefferson Airplane. Standouts include the swerving "Edsel" the airy, jazzlike "The Diector", and the aptly named "Last Song On The Record". A nice hybrid of folk, psych, country, and jazz, "and The Swede" is a great addition to any indie music collection.
