Let it be Life
by Loved this one!I only give this three stars because we have seen Rich Ortiz live and this album does not do his talent justice. We bought it anyway and will happily trek the seven hours to see him live again this fall. Great musician!
Lift Me Up
by GiacominoWhen talent, inspiration and life's lessons are mixed just right in music, the result is transcendant - Richie seems to do this effortlessly. Like some wierd hybrid of Cat Stevens meets Stevie Wonder meets Dave Matthews and produces something all its own - calmly profound and yet immediately accessible. Thank God this kid has so many beautiful things pouring out of that head and out into his music. BTW - if his band mates on the album were any of the same guys playing harmonica and sax with him at the Backstretch in Saratoga Springs, NY the Friday before the Jazz Fest - then you have some serious icing on this cake; both men are engaging artists on their own. Sample 'Chance of a Lifetime' and if you don't like it, then travel to the Lamayuru Monastery in Ladakh, India and meditate for a few years until you discover the simple beauty in this man's music.
Wonderful artist-inspiring music
by slcartSaw Rich live at a intimate summer festival and LOVED his music-bought this CD and have always kept my eye out for him on itunes. So glad he is here for everyone to enjoy-what an amazing artist! Highly recommend!
