Blind Date on iTunes. An adendum, correction

by vibe4philo

My review relates strictly to the Blind Date songs on these volumes. On this collection, those are Do you love me and Midnight Imagination.

Contrary to the impression given here, the above-mentioned songs are originally appeared on Blind Date's self-titled one and only album for Windsong released in 1979. For those who aren't familair, these songs are highly recommended for fans of Cheap Trick's first four albums. It's brilliant, hooky, harding charging power pop and melodic as all hell.

UPDATE OF MY ORIGINAL REVIEW, HAVING LISTENED TO THE mp3s. Please disregard my first review. Overexcited.

My review relates strictly to the Blind Date songs on these volumes. On this collection, that's only the track Trouble Maker.

One caveat: these tracks have not been digitally remastered. This is just vinyl recoreded as mp3. And, frankly, it's not exactly pristine. But that shouldn't be enough to scare you off. Blind Date was one of numerous power pop bands that fell through the cracks in the late 70s (did this kind of band ever stand a chance on John Denver's record label?).
