Catching up with old pals
by TexasMeadsterAfter losing track of NMTH after I moved away from the Triangle in the early 90's I was thrilled to find out about "Back Around". This Album (and the reissued tracks at the end) show that NMTH picked up where they left off by using trademark acoustic sound andharmonies to make you feel as though you've wandered back into your favorite coffeeshop on a cold winters day. The new songs resonate with a familiar sound, yet the songs reflect a definate maturation of NMTH's point of view. This album will serve as a great introduction to new NMTH fans as well as a welcome addition to the collection of all of us "oldtimers".

WOW!
by ~Eleanor~ :)I recently saw NMTH in concert (well, a small one, but a great one all the same) at a small bookstore/coffee shop/hang-out place. Having never heard them before, I didn't know what to expect. All I knew was that they sang folk music and had amazing harmony. And they certainly did! The acoustics weren't great where they were playing, yet they managed to create a wonderful sound that rang through the small building. I'm not even a huge fan of folk music, and I love their album! Great job on Back Around, and I look forward to the release of your next album!
A Hidden Gem
by PhyllisBI first heard NMTH in college in 1992. I had a tape of their earlier CD, "The Bluest Sky," that I played over, and over, and over, and over... Recently my folks brought me a collection of miscellaneous tapes from my old room at home, and my tape of "The Bluest Sky" was among them. I was so excited to find it again after all those years!!!! When I learned that they were back together and recording new music, I was ecstatic. Their harmonies are incredible, the songwriting sensitive and true. The melodies are so natural and vibrant, and the guitar & piano complement their voices perfectly. It is hard to come up with adequate adjectives to describe them, so I'll just say they warm my heart! You won't regret buying this album, and really you're getting 2 for 1, since it has the original tracks from Bluest Sky too. Looking forward to more great music from them!
