Pure Seduction

by LilMonikaI was turned on to this group by a friend of mine that is into belly dancing. I downloaded several of their albums already. I listen to Solace when I need to clear my head of all the nonsense that seems to come up every now and then.
Music for the soul and inner spirit
by NabonidusAfter becoming disenchanted with today's music I was in dire need of some fresh sounds to revitalize my spirit. My searches brought me to the online Magnatune site and their world music collection. I immediately connected with the artist Solace and his 2002 release of works, Ahsas. I found the Eastern polyrhythmic beats combined with the sensuous melodies and passionate vocal styling captivating. This collection of compositions quickly became favorites in my house music rotation. I recently discovered on iTunes that Solace had released a new 2006 collections of works titled, Nagari. Solace latest compositions are a little less "traditional" sounding in regards to possessing a more modern strophic format structure then his previous works. But in no way does this detract from this body of work. The original “Solace” Eastern timbre is no less vibrant as before and I have found these compositions to work well in a variety of settings: yoga, dinner parties, study music, massage sessions and everyday holistic listening. If you and your partner are looking to add some extra passion to your intimate times the slower rhythmic, sensuous arrangements will do just that. Just be prepared that future listening will put you in the intimate mood whether that is the intended result or not. This is a great collection of unique world music if you are looking to expand your musical appreciation horizon. And as mentioned previously it works well in many diverse listening environments.
