These tunes are stuck in my HEAD!
by MusicLover007I received this album as a gift. I usually never listen to indie bands, but this group just has it together. "You know how I roll" is a fantastic song that hasn't received the welcoming from the music industry that it deserves. The other tracks like "Solidarity Forever" and "Tragic Hero" are also catchy and memorable. Get the album, if not, just buy the tracks. Highly recommended!
We'll be hearing a lot more from this band.
Vayizaku - It Begins
by grapportIt's hard to believe that Vayizaku is just one guy, Albert Kahn. "It Begins" is simply the vehicle Kahn uses to establish himself as a modern master of several instruments as well as a gifted arranger. Just when you think you have him pegged as a typical trio (drums, bass and distorted guitar), Kahn whips out a keyboard on track 7 ("Ocean") and demonstrates another side to his musical prowess.
"It Begins" is aptly titled. It is the work of a young man just coming into his own. I can't wait to see what Kahn does next with all that talent. Check out the video on My Space.
Some quality tunes...
by JerseyRockerThis record really grew on me- after about 3 complete spins, I could better appreciate the songwriting, which is excellent. The recording quality could stand to be improved, but I think this is a "first effort" kind of deal, so it's understandable. The high point for me was the piano on "Ocean".
