Terrific!
by frozen01Wendy Rule is an amazing artist whose music travels a bredth of emotions. Her voice is beautiful and unique and the sound itself is exotic and peaceful, without forcing you to sleep. This is especially true of "Hecate" which exhibits a wonderful mix of powerful drums and quirky violin, "Circe" with its beautifully unusual lyrics and sensual sounds, "The Raven Song" for which Ms. Rule's voice really shines, and the imagery and sultriness of "Everywhere and Nowhere". Like a good book or movie, her music isn't just something that you listen to... it's a complete experience!
"The Lotus Eaters" is beyond a doubt her best album with something for just about anyone. There is some slower, quieter songs like "My Heart is Like an Open Flower" but also songs like "Hecate" and "Circe" for people like me who need something a little more powerful to keep their attention.
Bottom line: Definitely check out this album! You won't be disappointed.
