My 5th graders can spot COOL a mile away....they LOVE this CD!
by ShizaffnerMy 5th grade students know their way around some Rap and Hip-Hop. Our school is in an urban area. They LOVE this CD! It gets them moving and excited to practice multiplication facts. I put each fact like 8X3=24 on colored copy paper and the kids hold them up as we sing that fact in the song. Using the visual, moving and singing helps the facts stick. I have heard some other rap Multiplication CD's and this one is definitely the best. I had to stop using one CD in particular because the songs were based on current rap songs from the radio and my students would sing the rap words to the song and not the math facts words. Some of the lyrics they sang were inappropriate. All of these songs on this CD seem to be original. I haven't had any problems like before. Definitely glad I bought it!!
