HIGHLY recommend every song on the CD

There's something for everybody on Lynn Carey Saylor's debut album. What impressed me most about this album is the fact that not only can she sing, but she can also write great songs, too. She can have serious songs without being too preachy, and when it comes to ballads, they aren't over-produced monstrosities that can ruin the overall feel. And then of course, there are the classic rock tunes, which rock your socks off, as well.

This is a very impressive album, that's for sure. It has a permanent spot in my CD player, and is among my all time Top 10 Albums EVER. It's that good, from start to finish. I love the fact that she writes every song (with the exception of one) and they are all very relatable, because they draw mostly from life's experiences.

At first listen, you don't realize where the lyrics are going to take you in "I Wasn't A Friend," but boy does the song leave you with an important message, as well as tears in your eyes. The way the lyrics flow together is seamless, as we learn about the consequences of letting a friend drive drunk. Not only in trying to accept the loss of this friend, but also about the guilt and regrets for not having taken the keys from them.

You Like It Clean, might more aptly be named You Like it PERFECT. It's hard to believe that this is only Lynn's first album. It is more than just good music. It is truly comprised of songs that are all about "Real LIFE Stories." She has a voice that can wrap itself around the lyrics, and draw you into the story of the song. It just gets better and better, with every listen. Lynn is keeping traditional life inspiring music, alive and well.

Occasionally one album can make a star. This should be Lynn's star maker; a collection of fantastic songs presented in just the right way, at the right time, when real talent really needs to make a comeback in the mainstream.

Lynn Carey Saylor is worth checking out!

Like one of the other reviewers, I discovered Lynn on MySpace and was hooked. She's a very good singer/songwriter and her music has a lot of substance to it. Her lyrics are much more than fluff and she delivers a strong message, often in subtle ways. Her husband, the legendary Skip Saylor, also helps behind the console. Lynn Carey Saylor is the real deal - I can't wait to hear her next release.

What a find!

Upbeat, hook driven pop. Great voice, solid songs and a very tight band. Brian May is a really interesting addition. The Pat Benetar remake is a lot more interesting than the original. Found LCS from an ad in Vintage Guitar. What a find!
