by chrislee911Last week my girlfriend of 10 years and I stayed in a fantastic and beautiful old hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My girlfriend and I have not been able to get away for almost 2 years and this was a special time for us and we went all out for the trip. We went out to dinner at this amazing 5 St*r restaurant called the Compound on Canyon Road (this very chic artsy road in SF). It was really late by the time we finished our dinner and when we walked back to the hotel we sat at the lobby bar and had one more glass of champagne (some really nice new mexican 'pagne) and we headed out to our suite to celebrate one last time before we headed home the next day. While we were walking through this amazing courtyard, April grabbed my arm and said, "Listen Chris...do you hear that?" We followed this amazing pianomusic for 10 minutes, thinking it was probably the radio before we found this guy sitting at a black grand piano or a big one or something, just playing. In the dark. We stood for a while and listened not wanting to disturb him, or risk interupting him from whatever he was playing. It was incredible. We slid down against the wall in the back of the room and just listened for at least 15 minutes. This guy played continually for the entire time. I know it sounds korny, but it was like someone had planted him there to play for us as the romantic postlude for our evening. Just for us. For a while I thought that April had planned it and of course she thought I had set it all up. This guy finally heard us whispering and stopped and looked into the back of the dark room and we finally said, "Hi". He seemed embarassed or is just very shy but nonetheless when we asked him who he was, he said his name was Paul. He said he was just walking home and knew there was a piano in the hotel and came by to play before turning in. We asked him not to stop and to continue to play and he played one more song for us before he left. He said we could find his music on the internet. THANK YOU FOR PLAYING FOR US PAUL! YOUR MUSIC IS VERY SPECIAL!!! April says hello to you if you read this. The song he played for us we just downloaded and will always remember Santa Fe and how special our trip was, especially that beautiful night. The song 'What really matters' is our favorite. (But we love all the songs on this album too. Artith Lee is our second favorite) C & A
This is very pretty music
by MikeAndMaryThis is nice. Sounds like he writes for movies probably. We like. Doesn't sound like New Age to us. Sounds more like Movie Music.
