Thunderbird - On route 35 in Mantaloking, NJ there used to be a huge hotel right on the beach with a huge Thunderbird symbol as its sign - I was always drawn to it. My Mom was a cocktail waitress there, and many hours were spent as a little kid playing in the pool, stealing cherries from the bar, and sneaking into the night club to see live bands. Many years later while roaming in Hollywood I got a Thunderbird tattoo on Sunset Blvd. to remind me of those summer daze. A few months later, Kirk West the road manager of the Allman Brothers Band informed me that the Thunderbird symbol signified power and courage.
