Interesting and relatively obscure...

by The Happy Listener

This reminds me in a vague sense of Coldplay if they were fronted by the lead singer from Snow Patrol. This music is a lot more mellow than either of those bands most of the time though. They have a far more creative rhythmic intensity though. The drums are an appropriate back pulse to the music, while not overpowering the other elements. The lead singer has a light touch that is emotive while remaining tonally pleasing. There aren't any hits here, but the whole set is pleasing in its own way. I'd have to call Icicles my favorite if I were forced to choose, but it would work best with the Interlude played immediately prior. It's so wonderful what can be produced now without some major producer's name stamped on the cover.

Epic is an understatement

Listening to this album is more than epic! The song writing abilities are clutch and show intelligence and the gift of bringing emotion to music and connecting it to the ears and hearts of those listening. The rhythmic subtleties and poetic blasts of lyrical power allow me to have hope for the future of music. These guys are definately going places.

I discovered this band while browsing and was sweetly surprised. I've never heard of these guys before, but their stuff is real and intelligent, instrumentally engaging, and as the previous wrote, truely epic.
