From the Farm to the Subway
by Drumboi5It's cool how a song from a commercial, can turn you on to a band.
If you've seen the Subway "5-dollar foot long" commercial, then you've not been able to un-drill the Jingle from your head in weeks. That catchy tune was written by this band and I found that out in 3 seconds by Googling it. Something about this band's singer that sounds a little like Neil Young, but a little more in key. The bass playing is totally and undeniably melodic ala Sir Paul and when you mix it all up you get Death Cab for Cutie. Somehow they still have a sound all their own...check this out. It's pretty enjoyable!
