by jpkudzuThe first time I heard Jenifer Jackson it was live at Proud Larry's in Oxford, Mississippi surrounded by friends and musicians' musicians. It was pure magic awakening to this incredible songstress. Her melody, lyrics, and lilting voice take me to that place in dreams where you're flying and at peace and on the precipice of discovering something exciting and new. I've followed her music for the past decade. With each new album blossoms unfold and fragrance wafts drifting deep into your soul. The Outskirts of a Giant Town is the flower in full bloom.
