Branching out! This is exceptional!
by melrose1962I'm not sure what others are missing, but I would encourage them to listen again. This album is every bit as good as the first if not better! This is simply as real as it gets. Its raw, poetic, edgy, and exporatory. This is the Joshua from the first record, but now he's taken the gloves off. I want more of this! I can't wait for the next record. It seems he is beginning to challenge some of the conventions built around vocal music. They promised us he had "experience in every vocal genre, from opera to rock," and it seems they were right. Any doubts about this, go see him in concert. He marry's the very best work from Your Love My Home beautifully with this album and does it sitting on a bench with a guitar! Its crazy good! No other talent out right now that can do all of this and do all of it well, not to mention the writing is incredible. Bravo, Joshua! Thank you for stepping out and challenging us with this new music! I'm very excited about what is next for you, and for us.

First album was way better. I still love it 5 years later! -- but not this.
by Be TrueSorry, Joshua, but this album pales in comparison with the first album. I connected hugely with the first album and have a total disconnect with the album.
Still, cannot wait for the next LP. Hopefully a return to the Euphoric beauty of the first album.
