by fredfaceWow! What a surprise this was. Mature, thoughtful lyrics. Beautiful melodies. I was just browsing the data base and happened upon this. Does anyone know anything about this guy? I checked myspace in the music tab and entered David George and it's the same guy. He's got a funny film clip there but the music's the same as here. I'd love to know more about him or hear some more of his music.

by RstiltskinSongs from a really good songwriter. Well-crafted in both lyrics and melody. The sounds land softly on the ear but with much variety. There is an obvious Beatles reference in the title song It's a Beautiful World - Sounds like something they would have done if they were still together in their psychedelic period.
There is a cinematic quality to many of these songs particularly Catalina and Love in the City.
Catwalk is a clever song that references microfiber & Chinese manufacturers in an effort to describe the state of the fashion industry in the US.
George's Heaven on Earth comes off as a simple hymn to Atheism.
Home to you is a Christmas song in the early Simon & Garfunkle vein.
There is much variety in this collection of songs yet it coheres very well as a whole!

by hopalong15David George delivers an album of well crafted songs which hit the mark with minimum fuss.
His low key vocal delivery and artful arrangements underscore David's considerable talent as a song writer which BTW would benefit many singers in search of quality material.
