by iamemmaThe melodies are, of course, wonderful since they are directly from classical masters. But Elizaveta adds her own soulful, yearning touch making the music songs entirely captivating. My favorite is Mariner's Song.
finally...some lyrics to the classics!
by piano loveElizaveta has reworked a few of the most famous classical melodies to paint an even more vibrant picture in the listener's mind than the original sheet music. Brilliantly done! Her piano playing evokes not only a thorough understanding of the originals but a masterful flair to be able to improvise lyrics and jazz-like timing and inflection to each song. She's definitely worth a listen because of her unique approach to songwriting and her expressive voice.
One of the best album I've heard this year
by danceasecondHer unique voice combined with the classical strings are the best things I've heard this year. It's a brilliant concept for a cd with classically inspired songs. I've heard her single 'Ordinary Life' from her upcoming album and it's simply superb. I can't wait for her to make it big.
