by babydocjonesListening through the album I can easily imagine it as the soundtrack to an hour long Volkswagen commercial…top down, driving with friends, looking up at the stars…you get the picture. Evan’s thoughtful lyrics are sung with an ultra-smooth voice that helps create a fresh blend of acoustic music that has hints of some of the greats (Damien Rice, Nick Drake, Chris Martin) but is unique enough to stand on its own as a truly great album.

by dav.mcdowellIt's been almost 2 years since Katrina relocated me to the city of Atlanta, and forced me to entirely begin again. I had to make new friends, go to a new school, and live in a new home. It was rough at first, but after the first high school football game, a few new friends and I went to a church basement, where Evan McHugh was playing...with just a guitar and some backtracks. He had no album out, but boasted a few free downloads on his myspace, and promised something soon enough. There I was, enthralled by a new musician, and it's weird to think about it...but that's when I realized when things would be alright. I enjoyed my time spent in a town that welcomed me as their own, and oddly enough, Evan McHugh gets some credit for that. This is the album that he was preparing when I saw him, and it is as wonderful as his personality. His smooth vocals and clean guitar are something unique in a sea of acoustic musicians. Buy this album-you never know-he's got a track record of changing lives.

by MaxPowersA terrific singer/sonwriter cd that delivers all the way through. A truly great cd for a relaxing evening or beautiful spring drive. Definately a cd that you will want to keep loaded up on the iPod.
