by Bill RouthierBart Caruso, who was previously in the bands The Dharma Bums (of Boston, not Seattle) and Naked Lunch Box, is a songwriter of the top order, who writes melodic songs that draw from The Beatles, Brian Wilson and other 60's rock. He also has one foot in harder rock, but it's in his best melodies, like La La La or September Rain, that Caruso truly shines. This is rock or pop or just well made music for grown ups or for all the youngsters out there who are going back to 60's music, because they can't find anything current that's as good. You deserve to hear Bart Caruso, and this music deserves to be more well known.
