This albu is a really great album in the way that all the songs unique not soundalikes like some songwriters. It has a variety of styles like the slow ambient Perspective to a Jazzy Pain is a Megaphone. Worth buying for sure!

Superb effort!

A deeply felt Christian record sans the canned sounds of Nashville. Its Sufjan meets Mayer with a bit of jazz sensibility thrown in. The beautifully crafted lyrics have the everyday earthiness and grit of a cup of coffee at a Midwestern truck stop--a good thing for folks in the know.

Highly recommended!

A musical breakthrough for Jeff

It's great to see this indie album getting some much-deserved recognition: Christianity Today online rated it Number Five among its Top Ten Christian Albums for 2007, joining the ranks of (and placing it ahead of) Switchfoot and the David Crowder Band for that honor. Hats off to Jeff, engineer Randy Ruebsamen and your cadre of talented, versatile musicians. Thanks also, Jeff, for lyrics that speak to us through your pain with hope that God will show up when we least expect it to provide the equilibrium and perspective we need when we're breakable on the inside.
