great concept, but...

I love these songs but these poor girls aren't singing in tune.
I was very disappointed and will continue to hum them to myself at home.

High expectations, disappointing results.
by RimasJanusonisAs a Lithuanian-American who spent a fair number of summers at camp singing these same songs, I was expecting a wonderful trip down memory lane - instead I got a poorly recorded album with a cappella singing that is dreadfully out of tune (that, or tape master was made with a bad recorder motor affecting the tone).
I am typically proud of what my people can produce in the musical realm, and have enjoyed performances of versions of these same songs at Lithuanian song festivals over the years. In this case I am embarrassed to ever play this music for anyone, and am unsure that I could sit through the "musical" torture of even one song (I have yet to be able to listen to one song from start to finish).
