Much talent to be heard!

by BadMoonReaper

This musician happens to be my guitar teacher, and is very talented. The music on this album is some of the most brilliant and soothing melodies to be heard on guitar. Best track is "Goodnight Arizona," and other really great tracks are "Prince 4 A Day" and "Eight Rivers."

Above Average, Indeed Spectacular

I would classify it more as Contemporary Jazz than New Age, but regardless of what box you put it in, this is an excellent acoustical guitar solo production. All the songs are composed and performed by Don and show any number of great musical influences. Anyone versed in the various guitar masters will be able to hear the touch of many of them in this body of work as well as the extra that the artist gives of himself. Add to that the fact that these are performed on 7 and 8 string guitars, instead of the more classical 6 or 12 string varieties, and you are compelled to admire the musicianship.

Listen to the samples, and you’ll be hard pressed to choose a favorite to buy. Purchase the whole album, and the choice gets even more difficult. I’d say the title song, Eight Rivers, and A Moment To Reflect are my favorites of the moment, but I like them all. It’s rare to state that all the tracks on any release are going to get a lot of listening time, but that is the case here.

I’m looking forward to what comes next!
