Cheeky album that moves your feet
by bugsy_siegelI bought this album after hearing so many of these songs while out dancing. This band brings a playful and cheeky humor to their music. Songs like "Let's call the whole thing off" and "Knock Me a kiss" are flirty but not so stylized that they lose their swing beat. The album does not slip into sentimentality instead songs like "Woman you can trust" and "Whatcha Know Joe" keep the cheeky humor and upbeat attitude.
Finally, if you are just learning to swing and you need music with a slightly slower beat so you can practice that swing out then pick up this gem because it does not get any better than this for beginners music.
The best contemporary swing dance band album.
by 3crowns21As an avid lindy hop swing dancer I have heard all types of bands, live and recorded: Bill Elliott Swing Orchestra is good, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has some nice songs (skip their horrid live album though). This album is by far the best contemporary live band for its frequent and lively singing, excellent solos, and well balanced sound. I hope they follow up this with another excellent album.
