...of legendary 4 peice rock band THE FIVE
by Nic K. NameYep, in Pittsburgh back in the day, Reid Paley was leader of a killer punk/art/psycho/?/goth band called "The Five".There were only 4 members. If that wasn't enough, they were very cool and sounded freaking incredible live. Actually, they had started out, and did most of their career with 5 members, but I heard the 5th guy played a box of electronics that got soaking wet, so they kinda lost a part of their original sound as well as a "crucial" member. But posting band pics all over town of four dudes in black outfits with bold black letters over their heads reading "THE FIVE" was genius. And their music delivered. Man, I miss the 80's. I'll be saying that when I'm 90. Reid Paley and Dave Doremus and the other original members should get that fly old material of theirs on iTunes for all of us that remember THE FIVE and for all y'all that do not.
Pure genius
by DTKLAMFReid Paley has not gotten the recognition he deserves as one of the best songwriters in America. That says a lot more about the state of songwriting in America than it does about him.
For whatever reason, it took a long time for this release to come out, but it was worth the wait. Lyrically and musically, this is like nothing you have ever heard before.
