Incredible Talent
by rsadI saw the Jason Spooner Trio last night (11-5-09). They opened for Dave Mason. I had never heard of these guys. I was blown away. Fabulous fresh sound for me. Just bought this CD and downloaded it, listened to it before writing this review. The CD is great. I think their live performance is inspirational and certainly sounds better than this recording but the recording is good.......their live fidelity and presence is far superior though. I will be watching for these guys to do some return shows in my area. BTW, Jasons guitar work is a lot better than what is showcased on this CD. The rest of the trio is equally talented. Great music............wouldn't expect otherwise from a New Englander.
My favorite local artist....
by KStraubI have been the biggest Jason Spooner fan since I first saw him play at Bullfeeney's in Portland, Maine. I would make every attempt to get to all his shows in the area -- including his CD release party for Lost Houses. He's a genuinely nice guy with a remarkable voice and songwriting ability. I'm glad to see him on iTunes.
