by celerykingI just saw these guys open for Caithlin DeMarrais at the Mercury Lounge in NYC. Awesome! Equal parts David Byrne, Beirut, and Broken Social Scene. That said, they hold their own. Give them a chance, and if given the chance, see them live.

by kd1This album is simply wonderful. Balthrop, Alabama was an accidental find of mine on myspace one night and ever since I have enjoyed them thoroughly. Colored Egg and Taipei are my definite favorites though all the songs are wonderful. The vocals are a bit of an acquired taste but once you get used to it, you'll love it. Best of luck in the future, Balthrop, Alabama!
