Fun, classic blues album
by seadaveThe only thing better than hearing this album was being there in Quebec when it was introduced. It was really amusing to this Texan when one song (Seven Nights to Rock) required some English response from the crowd.
Wonderful stuff! Great horns and the very full, love of life filled voice of Kevin Mark will keep you toe tappin' and chair dancing throughout the album. Good guitar playing - not mind bending like a Johnny Winter, but heartfelt playing by a mere mortal in a way that fits and adds to the music yet doesn't overpower it.
Top Notch Blues
by boken-aJust Fantastic. Great retro guitar licks and a horn section straight out of the Stax/Volt lineage. Reminds me of early Ronnie Earl. Well worth every penny.
