AMAZING!!!!
by BreP79I grew up in the Methodist church, never missing a Sunday. A couple months ago my boyfriend invited me to come with to his church with him, Calvary Chapel of Jupiter. I was used to walking in on Sunday mornings, and upon entering the chapel, hearing the sounds of hymns being played on an organ. When I entered into Calvary Chapel of Jupiter I heard a very different sound, it sounded almost like a concert. I heard the sound of Jeff Thompson and the Calvary Chapel band. I was hooked from the start! Not only is the band amazing, but the sermon is also, every Sunday, and as a result of the two I have become a regular worshiper at that church. While the organ sounds beautiful, it doesn't hold a candle to the Calvary Chapel band. I was ecstatic when I found out that I didn't have to wait for Sunday to hear them, I could come to iTunes and download a personal copy to my iPod. I highly recommend attending Calvary Chapel, but if you don't live in the area definitely download the Calvary Chapel band...even if you live in the area download it. This is one of, if not the only, album I own that EVERY song is good...not just good, amazing. Truly worth the price.
refreshingly enjoyable
by transitionpeteThis is a solid set of tunes showcasing more that just repetative choruses that are standard affair for today's "modern" worship songs. The lyrics are honest and thought-provoking and arranged quite nicely on the instrumentation.
Good worship album
by GeppapaI must admit that this is one of the better progressive worship releases I have heard. I really enjoy "Star Maker" and "Praise". If you want to engage in a little different style than the norm this is for you.
