Fresh, unique, deserves a listen
by warjianrumoelliuA bunch of these guys are form Musicians' Institute, and their technical prowess definitely shows, but more so than that, there is real heart here. The lead singer, Charlie Kim, belts out more emotion than all these emo kids these days... man, what a voice. Great lyrics too, very existential and deep.
Very cool and unique record
by the lostI've never written a review here before but I noticed that nobody had written yet for this newly released album from Veiled. I saw these guys at the Third Eye Gathering (3eg.org) in Los Angeles and they were amazing so I've been looking forward to their cd release for a while. And it certainly has not dissappointed; they run the gamut from slow, beautiful and melodic (eye, oblivious, only love remains) to aggressive and [still melodic] (the messenger) to spacey, vibey and uhhh melodic (killing fields, beast, paralyzed). Overall great, great record. Not putting five stars cus i'm reserving that for their 2nd album which I'm already looking forward to. Not a lot of quality music like this around these days.
