Soy el Mas Sensual - Renato Classics

Title Says It All

     

This is the guy that helped start todays Reggaeton Craze. When no one else was doing Reggae Rap in Spanish, Leonardo Renato Aulder "Renato" was out there singing his heart out. He finally hooked up with Luis Phillips and then Gary Mason, who introduced Renato to the world. Renato is one of those very talented musicians that never got credit where credit was due. Until you look at the list of songs on this album, you really never realize how many well known songs this guy has written, co-written and performed. Soy El Mas Sensual, La Chica de Los Ojos Cafe, America, Desorden, He Tenido Un Sueno, Caliente and it they go on and on. The song Chocolate with Kathy should definitely be in a Nestles or Hersheys Choclate Bar Commercial!!! Unfortunately, great talent often does not translate to great money, and as is the case with many talented folks, they are sometimes ahead of their time. This is probably what happened to Renato, Phillips and Mason. They were so far ahead of their time, they just could not make the big bucks. It took the clever folks in Puerto Rico to crack the numbers on the safe and make the big money a decade later. If nothing else, Renato, and his Producers are owed some respect, and hopefully this review has given them alittle.
