An Amazing Breakthrough Album (Yes, I said Album!)

     

You know, back in my day (I am not that old, actually) there used to be these black vinyl/plastic like things called ‘records’. Then, it was one groove laid down on each side of an ‘album’ and the idea was to put as many good songs as possible on each side. Since it was all on one groove, what you wanted was a theme on that side of the album which tied all of the separate tracks together. With the advent of CDs, this has become a lost art.

Not so with the Fire Tower Sessions by LisaBeth Weber and Maggie Marshall! This recording is a continuous flow of ideas ranging from life and death and politics and art which leaves one satisfied, thoughtful, and uplifted all at the same time. The tracks are weaved together masterfully; one can imagine that it was all recorded on a giant continuous groove in an old-style album.

I would go on and on about how great this CD is, but I have to get back to work! I strongly advise everyone to buy this CD because not only will you not regret it, you will find yourself singing it in your heart every day and waiting for their next release eagerly.
